This wedding passed the ultimate test. Great weather, beautiful venue and most of all an incredibly beautiful inside and out couple, family and guests. I really enjoyed being part of Nicole and Mike's Big day!! (venue: vista at walnut hill cleveland, nc)
the fabulous Nicole at her wedding venue in Cleveland NC: Vista at Walnut Hill. We had great light, beautiful scenery and Nicole was just as happy as could be (which always makes for perfect portraits!).
Finally a visit to Durham with a gastronomic tour of Chef Josh Decarolis' new restaurant Mothers & Sons (Trattoria). If you get a chance to visit. Do.
If you don't know by now, I love to travel. And if you're my friend you know that I will travel any where any time as long as there's an opportunity. Well, my friend Jamie texted me about Montréal, I said sure. Then a few days later I had a ticket and a plan. Our goal was simple; eat and explore.
If you're only in Montréal for a short time... I have a SHORT list for you:
1. The Marche Market in the Old Port
2. The tiki bar in Chinatown (seriously) La Mal Necessaire
3. La Belle e La Bouef for Poutine
4. Spa Day at Bota Bota (also the old port)
5. La 4e Mur (you have to press a brick to open the door) for cocktails
6. Café Saint-Henri at the
7. Dinner at Au Pied de Cochon
Montréal reminded me of NYC, but cleaner, more organized and more European. The contrasting old and modern architecture reminded me of Manhattan.
And I was back home in no time. What a lovely trip! Do yourself a favor and visit this beautiful city.
I have been looking forward to this wedding for a while. Not only are Ashton and Ben an adorable couple, but they're very laid back, open, charming and overall FUN! I knew their wedding would be a blast. And (SCORE) it was at one of my fav venues---Hotel Concord---a vintage venue complete with checker board tile floors, loads of natural light and beautiful ceiling-scapes of chandeliers.
This is their wedding story!
Venue: The Hotel Concord | Event Coordination: Lynn Neal | Flowers: Poppies Floral Design | Dress: Allure | Bridesmaids Dresses: After Six from Weddington Way | Wedding Rings: Diamonds Direct | Video: Phil Bebee | Band: Crocodile Smile
well folks... I'm not really sure how to start about this shoot.
I love my clients. I don't know how it happens but somehow I really just get a chance to work with some of the loveliest people!
When Ross and Jamie told me about where they were thinking of having their engagement shoot... my brain started turning and the three of us planned one awesome day in the mountains. First off, we found THIS badass cabin, with a view to boot.
We split the day up like this:
Morning - Photo shoot on a mountain with morning light
Afternoon - Cabin shoot with champagne
Late Afternoon - Downtown Asheville
Dinner & Beer (thanks Wicked Weed!)
Evening - Night Shot
Thank you Ross and Jamie for not only being amazing models, but also being great company. I really enjoyed spending my day with you!
Congratulations to your family Danielle and Ethan! Thank you for letting me photograph this sweet sweet boy.
awww I just love working with lovely people... and every moment during David and Bernie's weekend was just so full of love, happiness and overwhelming joy (with a bit of "finally!!!" seeing as how they had been dating for almost 12 years).
I first met David over the phone. He and Bernie live in LA. (one day I will visit, I'm sure of it!) After getting to know each other after an hour of conversation, I was hooked. I looked forward very much to their union and knew it would be special beyond measure.
David and Bernie's main concern for this weekend was for all of their guests to really enjoy themselves. I heard David say "eat, drink, dance, rinse and repeat!" to his guests
Special thanks to Todd Murphy Events (planning, florals and design), the Charlotte Trolley Museum, the Foundation for the Carolinas, the Mo Money Band, and Rabbi Judy Shindler Catering by Midwood Smokehouse (rehearsal) and Carpe Diem (reception).
Congratulations to Bernie, David and your beautiful friends and family. I wish you both many years of happiness and joy! I hope we meet again some day!
