Imagine a hot day in the South. The kind of day where the wind isn't stirring, the air is thick with heat and humidity and the only sounds are the songs of local birds and the hum of a ceiling fan on a shaded porch. Now add to that the feeling of sinking in to an old rocking chair and being surround by family and friends. Pour the sweet iced tea and the lemonade. It's going to be a lovely day.
Pulling up to the shoot location left an impression on me. Not seconds after shutting my car door I noticed I wasn't really in Charlotte anymore.. and it sure didn't feel like 2015. The Wadsworth Estate is a lovely, slightly aged classic southern historical home, nestled in the middle of a residential neighborhood in West Charlotte. Walking up the driveway, I couldn't wait to sit on the porch... and so I did. I was early to the gig, so I sat on the porch and let it sink in for a good 10 minutes. That was a great way to start the shoot!
Moments later I met Jamarl and his family, his friends were on the way. We started shooting immediately. Jamarl was an absolute pleasure to work with and really easy to photography too! His family and friends were also super sweet and fun to be around. Overall, it was a great day, filled with laughter, big smiles and bow ties. The Chicken and Waffles with mimosas just made it a little bit better.
Thank you Jamarl and I hope your 30th birthday is filled with the love and joy I witnessed on your special day!
navy and gold, always a good choice!
