2016 has definitely been a year for some awesome engagement shoots. I love getting to sit down with my clients and come up with a gameplan for the day of the shoot. Sitting down with Chelsea and Brent was no different. At first they mentioned that they didn't want to be anything but themselves. So I asked them.. "what do you guys like to do together?"
Eat pizza. In Pajamas. On the couch.
"Okay! Let's do that!!"
They looked shocked.. and I said---seriously, we'll get a cute couch and put it in a field! It'll be great. Then I mentioned my parents had a goat farm (www.cardinalridgefarm.com) and so there you have it. Pizza, Goats & Pajamas.
For the formal half of their session we met uptown some delicious sunset lighting.
Chelsea and Brent, I have so much enjoyed getting to know both of you and I very much look forward to your wedding day at Ritchie Hill.
Morning session wrapped! We parted ways for a few hours and then reconvened uptown.
I am one lucky girl. Why do I say that? Because of the awesome people I get to meet in my life... and Rob is definitely one of them. We decided to get together for a quick portrait session last Thursday at my studio and then a follow up outside in brilliant overcast light at Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte.
Thanks Rob, can't wait for our next shoot!
Luna turns one! So glad to be part of this little girl's birthday. xo
Happy birthday sweet girl! So happy to be part of your special day!

I have had the pleasure of working with local restaurant group that specializes in sports bars and all things Americana. I may not be the world's biggest sports fan (no, really?), but I sure do love a good burger or plate of delicious wings.
I have been shooting tethered lately so that I can keep an eye on color, composition and focus with my laptop. I think it's really been helping.
So take a look and try not to lick the screen if you can. ha!
