Late one evening I checked my inbox as I always do... and I read an inquiry for a bridal portrait, though she had been married for 2 years already. She had never done a portrait session and she felt the wedding day went by so fast there was never enough time to sneak away with her photographer for a bit to focus on her and her dress.
I emotionally connect with a lot of stories, but this one definitely reached a little deeper. I sent her my information and when we met we clicked immediately. I knew that not only would we get stellar images, but the experience would be one to remember. Jessica and I together started turning our gears and before long we had a date, time, location and hair and make up artist set.
She had initially looked at booking Duke Mansion or DSBG, but I suggested giving a new venue a try. At a showcase I met a woman promoting her home/horse farm as a venue. She simply said her daughter was married on their property and it gave them the idea to rent it out to other brides. Due to their infancy as a business she offered free portrait sessions in exchange for images for the website. I went to check them out, sent Jessica a few videos from my phone and we chose to shoot here.
The selling points of Tirzah farm:
A GORGEOUS colonial farm house | a bamboo wall | beautiful landscaping | fields full of wispy grass | fun backgrounds, color and texture everywhere
What can I say about Jessica? She has a huge heart, is extremely beautiful and was very interested in the artistic aspects of what I do. She was open to suggestions and she was filled with so much excitement and joy we just had a spectacular time! Special thanks to her BFF Holly who flew up from New Orleans to assist with Jessica's hair and makeup. She did a fantastic job!
