What can I say? I am so thrilled to document this couple's journey.
We met on a Tuesday afternoon, particularly sunny and warm for March, but the breeze coming through the pines surrounding the lake kept us comfortable. Coen's parents live on this lake, so he felt the location of their house and neighborhood would be something special. It's a happy place for him, and why not share that place with the people you love?
We started there, walking around their lake house using the trees and the sunlit water as backdrops and as we were leaving I noticed a fun looking tire peeking out from under a dust cover in the driveway. I asked if we could do a series with the car (which happened to be a powder blue 1966 mustang) and I was so happy we did! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us use this awesome car! Afterwards we headed to Amélie's in NoDa for a bit of gluten free action and caffeine. Yeah!
Coen and Jackie--I am honored to be your friend and I am especially touched that you have chosen me to be your photographer.
